It is very comfortable as the mid-layer for cold weather hikes. It breathes SO much better than synthetic fleece, doesn’t give that sweaty, boxed in feeling, and zips/unzips to allow for regulating temperature quickly on hills or windy spots. Since it zips all the way up to the neck, it negates my need for an extra scarf.

It also looks quite stylish.
