BEIGE JUMPER / BEIGE SWEATER
At Wool Overs we're very proud of the huge range of colors we offer our customers. Over time we've noticed that you like to search for styles by a specific color. So in order to help you on your quest, we've developed a Shop By Colour browsing system, which will hopefully make things easier for you!
This section is aimed at those of you looking for a beige sweater. Beginning in the 1920s, the meaning of the term beige expanded to the point where it is now also used for a wide range of pale brown shades, such as the color ecru (very popular in clothing nowadays), the color mode beige (a very dark shade of beige!) and camel. Whether you refer to it as beige, camel or caramel, we're certain you're going to love these cotton & cashmere, cashmere & merino, and pure lambswool beige jumpers. We can also offer you two types of beige tank top; these slipover vests are perfect for layering.
Is this your first time at Wool Overs? Then you may not know that we were established in 1989 and are the knitwear specialists! You can shop with confidence, and we offer a no fuss returns policy. We offer you great quality and fantastic value.
Mark & Clare Shenton
BEIGE FACT:
French beige: It is perhaps the existence of this particular color that led people to think that beige is a light brown color rather than the pale cream color or natural cotton, as it was originally.
The first recorded use of beige as a color name in English was in 1887 but it's more recently been used as slang - to say something is beige means being boring or dull! Beginning in the 1920s, the meaning of the term beige expanded to the point where it is now also used for a wide range of pale brown shades, some of more notable of which are shown below.
